The Florida Association of Professional
Geologists (FAPG), a section of AIPG, is hosting their 2009
Section Annual Meeting and Technical Conference at the Casa
Monica Hotel in St. Augustine, Florida. This conference has been
designed to provide relevant information and training in today’s
emerging issues in water and water resources management. The
conference will consist of panel discussions from
representatives of the Florida Department of Environmental
Protection, Florida Geological Survey, the water management
districts, and the United States Geological Survey. These panel
discussions are designed to provide a broad overview of the
activities of these agencies with respect to water and water
resource issues in Florida and the surrounding region. Panel
discussions will be followed on the second day by technical
sessions which will expand upon the subjects covered in the
panel discussions as well as other water related topics. To be
held concurrently with the technical sessions will be a short
course providing detailed instruction on aquifer storage and
recovery, deep well design and construction, geochemistry,
geophysical logging tool selection and interpretation, and
regulations.
Exhibitor space will be located in the Casa
Monica Hotel in a prime area for visibility and exposure. Spaces
will be allocated on a first‐come, first‐served basis. The cost
for each space is $495 and includes registration for one
exhibitor representative. The exhibitor space is 8’wide, 6’deep
and includes a 6’skirted table and two chairs.
Casa Monica Hotel Information
The conference will be held at
the Casa Monica Hotel, 95 Cordova Street, St. Augustine, Florida
32084. Exhibitor fees do not include hotel registration. When
registering for the hotel, be sure to mention “AIPG” to receive
the discounted rate of $120 Wednesday ‐ Thursday and $269 for
Friday night.
Set Up / Tear Down
Exhibit set up will be on
Thursday, April 30th
from 8:00 am to 11:00 am which will be in
time for registration and the afternoon break as well as the
Welcome Reception in the evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Booth
tear down will be on Friday, May 1st from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm.
Space Assignments and Deadlines
Completed applications for
exhibit space must be received no later than Friday, April 17,
2009. Exhibit contracts and final payment of exhibit fees are
due within 30 days of submittal of the agreement and no later
than Friday, April 17, 2009. All spaces and space location
requests will be assigned on a first‐come, first‐served basis
until filled.
Cancellations
Cancellation of exhibit space
must be made in writing to the American Institute of
Professional Geologists (AIPG) at the address below.
Cancellations received on or before April 10, 2009 will receive
a 50% refund. Cancellations received after April 10, 2009 will
forfeit the entire exhibit space fee.
